Farm-to-table Healdsburg
SingleThread Farm
Healdsburg is the heart of California wine country. The town, nestled in the center of three world-class wine regions, attracts those who love the finer things whether that’s artisan shopping, luxurious lodging, excellent wine or a remarkable food culture. The culinary trendsetters who make Healdsburg their home truly embrace the farm-to-table ethos and strive to incorporate what is uniquely Sonoma into every bite.
Bravas Bar de Tapas
SingleThread Farms has received three Michelin Stars for two years in a row. The dining experience is the only restaurant in Sonoma County to receive the rare distinction. The husband and wife team behind the restaurant have taken the local food scene to the next level with their take on farm-driven, Asian inspired cuisine. The farm, seven miles outside of downtown, is where much of the ingredients are produced, including fruit, olives, honey, herbs, vegetables, wine grapes, eggs and chicken. Single Thread’s concept is kaiseki, multi-course meals that are not only delicious but also small works of art. Complete your authentic farm stay by reserving a room at the Single Thread Inn.
SingleThread may be the only local establishment with three Michelin Stars, but both Bravas Bar de Tapas and Chalkboard have received the Michelin Bib Gourmand, which is awarded to restaurants deemed to be both good quality and good value.
Brothers Dustin Valette and Aaron Garzini have deep family roots in Healdsburg and their vision for their restaurant, Valette, was to create a place that would showcase the farmers, winemakers and artisans of Sonoma County. The restaurant, on the site where their great-grandfather operated bakeries, is known for its California-meets-global cuisine. From the ever-changing dinner menu to the bar and cocktail lineup, Sonoma County’s best is featured in every bite and sip.

Pete Seghesio was already an acclaimed winemaker when he decided to pursue another family tradition by opening Journeyman Meat Co., a local salumeria. Mr. Seghesio studied with Italian masters and uses only the best local ingredients in the meat company. The region’s mild climate, cool ocean air and rich soil is not only ideal for wine grapes, it is also perfect for raising and curing meats. Visitors can purchase mouth-watering steaks, bacon, burgers and sausages and artisanal salumi from the butcher shop as well as hot food and wood fired pizza.
The couple behind Noci Sonoma bought an abandoned farm in the Dry Creek Valley with the intention of building their home, but as they developed the land, they decided to share their bounty. Noci Sonoma is a membership garden that lets subscribers get their hands dirty - literally. Customers are able to pick what they want - fruit, flowers or vegetables. Eventually, they plan to open a café that will serve dishes prepared from produce from the gardens.
